In short, we do not discount the event with coupon codes. Over the years, we have strived to offer a great experience, awesome swag, and keeping the fall tradition alive all while remaining competitive with current industry prices. We believe the event is a great value and hope you agree after attending a location-based event or opting for the Virtual Run option!
There are several ways to save a few bucks without using a coupon code:
Let’s break it down in 3 easy steps:
1. Someone registers and elects to create a team.
2. They tell their friends to join their team.
3. Everyone on the team saves $5!
Now, here are all the details:
The first person to register creates the team. Be sure to confer with your friends ahead of time to come up with the best team name of all time. The first person to register then tells all their friends to join. Everyone who joins during registration will save $5 on whatever registration they choose.
All Virtual Team packets will ship to the team captain early fall. Therefore, be sure to organize a day when everyone can get together to retrieve their packets from the team captain!
Virtual Team registration ends on August 15th at 11:59PM ET, so make sure to have all your friends sign up by then in order to be on the team!
Location-based Events:
Virtual Run
Run more, earn more!
The Fall-natic Challenge, is an optional challenge to keep you going all season long! Instead of just running the Virtual Run once, this challenges you to keep up with your training goals and complete a 5K each month. Here’s how it works:
– September to Remember: Celebrate the start of fall by doing a 5K in September!
-Rocktober: Leaves are changing colors and fall is in full swing! Rock 3.1 miles in October to take it all in!
-Novem-brrr Dash: As the temps start to drop, keep up the momentum by heading out one last time.
You can pick and choose what months you want to add on or set the bar high by adding on all three (while saving some money!) Each challenge has its own unique medal, which will come in your Virtual Run packet alongside the regular finisher’s medal. After you complete each challenge, you can upload your results to RunSignup. More bling, more running, and more celebrating our favorite season!
Add this on during registration or add it on here if you’ve already signed up!
We encourage people of all levels and abilities to come out and join us. The event itself is a fun celebration of our favorite season! Whether you run it, walk it, or somewhere in between, you will have a great time. In fact, about 1/3 of all participants opt to walk the 5K.
Thank you for your interest in helping empower girls across America! We encourage you to check out our detailed post regarding how you can help:

Beyond that, we are super excited for our official National Charity Partner: Girls on the Run! Gourdy’s Pumpkin Run is donating $1 for every registration this year to Girls on the Run! In addition to our donation, we’re giving participants the opportunity to fundraise and earn their registration fee back, or donate directly to Girls on the Run during registration. We hope to be able to raise over $100K for them this fall!
Girls on the Run® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. Inspiring girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running, Girls on the Run transforms the lives of girls across the country by teaching them critical life skills that stay with them for a lifetime. Apparently, some people think running isn’t tough enough.
At location-based events, you’ll be able to pick up your pumpkin for the challenge prior to the race. If you’re able to carry it in one piece all the way to the finish line, you’ll receive the exclusive Tough Pumpkin medal in addition to the regular Finisher’s medal.
Going Virtual? Grab a pumpkin from your nearby farm or gardening center and bring it along for the ride!
Be sure to snap some fun pics and use #toughpumpkin if you add this challenge on!
Training items will ship out to you a couple days after registering, starting early April.
Other merchandise will ship along with your packet, if you’re signed up for the Virtual Run.
If you’re signed up for a location-based event, your merchandise will ship out if you sign up by August 21.
If you sign up after August 21, you will need to pick up your merchandise in-person at the merch tent on race day!
Of course! Fill out the contact form below and we’ll do our best to answer your question!

Q: When I go to submit my results, I see multiple results sets. What one should I use?
A: For your official Virtual Run time, you should make sure to select ‘Virtual Run or Walk’ in the dropdown menu (it’s also the default option). The other results sets are for the Fall-natic Challenge.
Q: When I go to submit my results, I see a section to add Tough Pumpkin pounds. What is this about?
A: We have people that are crazy enough to run with pumpkins! If you added on the official Tough Pumpkin option, you should weigh your pumpkin before your 5K and when submitting your time, also include the weight of your pumpkin in pounds. At the end of the Virtual Run period, we will tally them all up and announce how many pounds were carried in total!
Q: I added the Fall-natic Challenge. How do I record my time(s)?
A: Following the steps outlined for submitting your overall Virtual Run time, you can use the dropdown menu to access each month of the Fall-natic Challenge. Please note that the submission window for each month opens on the 1st of the associated month (i.e. Rocktober! opens on 10/1).
Your official Virtual Run time can be the same time as a Fall-natic Challenge if you wish. Or, you can run twice in one month and submit a result for the Virtual Run and also the challenge. Example:
– I have added on the Fall-natic Challenge for all three months
– I run a 5K distance all three months but in October, I run twice as I want to have two separate times
– I would upload my September to Remember challenge time in September, my Rocktober! challenge time and also my official Virtual Run time in October, and my Novemb-brrr challenge time in November.
Again, you can use the same time for your official, overall Virtual Run result and the Fall-natic challenge or you can run an extra time that month and submit different results. Your race, your call!

Each challenge has its own unique medal, which will come in your Virtual Run packet alongside the regular finisher’s medal. If you didn’t add it on during registration, it’s not too late. Head here to add it on and choose what months you want (or add all three and save!)
